As the Founder and President of Literacy Advocates, Sheryl Knapp’s mission is to give all students access to research-based literacy practices. Recent studies have shown that all but 2-3% of students can become proficient decoders, yet a whopping 20-30% (far higher in many urban areas) are not given the tools they need to achieve this goal.
